Grandparents Get Custody of Toddler

A toddler lost her mother last year in what is believed to be a drunk driving crash. The judge overhearing her case has awarded child custody of the girl to both of her grandmother. The 1-year-old girl appeared in court with both of her grandparents last week. A Corpus Christi judge has granted custody to both women but the little girl will continue residing with her paternal grandmother. The toddler's mother, 16-year-old V.V., died in a car crash on New Year's Eve. Although it is still under investigation, police believe that it was caused by a drunk driver.
