Michae Lohan's Domestic Violence Case Dropped

Finally, some good news for the Lohan family: Michael Lohan's domestic violence case was dropped in court this week.

While Lindsay Lohan finishes out her brief home arrest, her father Michael is coming to terms with his own legal woes. Lohan was arrested last May on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge when his on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend Kate Major called the police on him. This week he went before a judge in Beverly Hills to plead not guilty to the charge against him, a plea that would surely have led to serious penalties. However, since Major told the judge that she wished to settle the matter "privately," the case against Lohan was dropped.

Dana Cole, Lohan's attorney, was thrilled with the decision, commenting that "Kate did not want a spectacle [...] They are still good friends and hopefully they will remain this way." This was a surprising turn of events since Lohan retailed by stating that Major actually faked her injuries and attacked him instead.

If you would like help as you put an end to an abusive relationship, it is important that you hire a family lawyer who can advise you of your rights and options.
