Repeat Domestic Violence Offender, Flavor Flav, Facing New Charges

Musical prodigy, rapper and television personality Flavor Flav is facing a charge of domestic violence – not his first – in regards to an incident on October 17 involving his fiancé and her child, as reported by the Examiner and several other media sources.

Police reports show that officers were called to the family home via a 911 emergency call made by Flavor Flav's fiancé, Elizabeth Trujillo, at about 3 a.m.

Trujillo told officers that she and Flavor Flav had an argument about his alleged infidelity. The verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation according to Trujillo.

Trujillo claimed that Flavor Flav grabbed her at the shoulders, stomach and arms before throwing her down to the floor – twice. During the melee Trujillo claimed that Flavor Flav tore out her earrings.

When Trujillo's 17 year-old son tried to break up the fight, Flavor Flav wrestled with him as well.

Both mother and son told police that Flavor Flav retrieved two knives from their kitchen, chased the boy, and yelled that he was going to kill him. The boy ran into his sister's bedroom and was able to lock the door behind him. However, within moments, Flavor Flav allegedly kicked down the door and renewed his verbal threats against the boy.

Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department took Flavor Flav into custody.

Flavor Flav, 53, also known as William J. Drayton, is a high school dropout with a long criminal record that includes burglary, robbery and domestic violence arrests. He has suffered with cocaine addiction that he claimed had cost him up to $2,600 a day.
