Woman Attempts to Hide during Child Custody Battle

Lisa Miller has lived a strange and now criminal life.

Her life story has become public recently as law enforcement agencies work together to track her down. Miller, who once lived with partner Janet Jenkins, later renounced lesbianism altogether. She became an evangelical Christian and finally disappeared with her and Jenkins' daughter in 2009. What started as a custody battle for Isabella Miller-Jenkins is now a manhunt that spans the globe, as the FBI has been able to track her down - albeit too late - in Nicaragua and other locations.

What officials have learned is that several Mennonites and pastors have helped Miller and the girl disappear from public sight. One pastor, Pablo Yoder, spoke via email with the press earlier this month, stating that "God's holy Law never recognized a gay marriage." That is why he felt that the brotherhood in Nicaragua, where he is based, was right in protecting Miller and hiding her from the authorities.

If you need help through a difficult child custody battle, it is advised that you hire a family lawyer in your city of residence.
