Child Support Office Warns Card Holders of Text Message Scheme

The Coshocton County, Ohio Job and Family Services is warning e-Quick debit card holders of a scam designed to steal personal information.

The Office of Child Support recently became aware of a phishing scheme in which a text message was sent to card holders directing them to call an 800 number, enter their debit card number, expiration date, and personal identification number. Once the information is entered, the call is terminated.

Affiliated Computer Services, the company that issued the child support debit cards, immediately responded to the situation.

The Coshocton County Child Support staff is reminding all people with these debts cards not to give their PIN to anyone.

Anyone who has received this text message is asked to contact the Office of Child Support right away.  If you or someone you know has already responded to this text message, you can contact e-Quick Pay Costumer Service at (800) 503-1283 to report your card stolen and apply for new one.
