Lack of Child Support Payments May Lead to Jail Time

A former pro football player is trying to get his career back on track, but he might be headed to jail if he doesn't focus on other things first.

The wide receiver has not been signed with any teams due to a knee injury. Yet now that he has recovered from the surgery, he has been trying to garner attention from national teams. He was supposed to go to court earlier this month for a child support hearing, but instead held a public workout session for recruiters to come and see how well he has healed.

Despite the fact that he missed the session in order to advance his career, the judge was none too happy that he missed it. An arrest warrant was issued for the football player after he missed the court date. He has four children to support, which was not a problem when he was playing for a football team in Texas. At the moment, he has no income.

Owed child support payments?  Consider working with a family lawyer who can help you seek past due obligations.
