Sheriff's Deputy Behind Bars for Domestic Violence

Thomas Suave, a sheriff's deputy with Macomb County, now founds himself behind bars this week. The 11-year-veteran of the force has been accused of stalking and attacking his ex-girlfriend, as well as breaking into her home. At this time Suave has been suspended without pay until his trial.

Suave, 34, was brought before a judge in Clinton Township District Court last week for his arraignment. He was later released on a $20,000 personal bond and ordered him to stay at least 500 feet from the woman in question. His initial court hearing will be to discuss the charges of stalking, domestic violence, home invasion and unauthorized use of law enforcement computers that could be brought against him.

According to his defense attorney Suave is just a hard-working road patrol officer who has a wife, two children and a good work history.

Have you recently become the victim of domestic violence? If so, now is the time to seek representation from a family lawyer.
