Man Found FGuilty of Violating Restraining Order

A man found violating his restraining order is now believed to be involved in the death of his girlfriend in Providence, R.I. Raymond Grundy has now been arraigned for violating bail on a domestic assault charge and violating a restraining order.

He is being held on bail until his next court appearance on Jan. 7 at the district court.

His girlfriend, Staria Silva, the mother of his twin 9-month-old daughters, was discovered dead on Christmas Day by her mother. The children were unhurt but crying when law enforcement officials showed up; Silva was discovered stabbed and asphyxiated.

At this time Grundy has not been charged with her death, only the violation charges. When he appeared before a judge he did not enter a plea, only asking to attend her funeral.
