Man on Most Wanted List Arrested for Failure to Pay

A man topping the county's Most Wanted list was finally apprehended this week after years of not making child support payments. Douglas Cecil, 53, was arrested by officers with the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office this week for owing more than $82,000 in back support payments.

Authorities were led to Cecil's location thanks to a local tip that proved to be true. He had rented an apartment under the alias Douglas Matthews and, once police found his car at the complex, there were certain that they had the right man. According to local police Cecil has ranked high on the Top 50 list of people wanted for failing to make child support payments since it was created in 2004.

The Allegheny Count Family Court first issued a warrant for his arrest in September of 2004 and ever since then Cecil has been living in various hotels in an attempt to evade arrest. He will now be held in jail until his hearing is scheduled.

If you are having difficulty getting the child support payments you were promised, consult with a family law attorney today to learn more about your options.
