The Michigan Supreme Court has reportedly refused to take an appeal from a woman in a child custody case involving her former partner. According to reports, the woman has been fighting for joint custody of three children born to her former female partner. The two were together for 19 years as the other woman had three children through artificial insemination. The state appeals court has commented that they won't grant parental rights to the woman based on an agreement between unmarried or unrelated people.
