Business Man in Trouble for Failure to Pay

One businessman finds himself in legal trouble after failing to make his child support payments. This is not his first run-in with the law, although it is the first time that he has been placed behind bars. J.C., 54, went before a judge in Mesa last week to discuss the charges of negligence. The judge found him to be in contempt of the court and placed him into custody. The defendant cannot be released from jail until he has paid a minimum of $6,000 in back child support. Court records show that J.C. has been married four times and has fathered eight children and has an adopted daughter as well. He owes a total of $30,000 to the four women.

Last year the businessman was also accused of defrauding thousands of customers across the United States. He is being investigated by financial regulators and attorneys general in at least eight states, but has yet to be charged by any of them.
