Salem County Arrests Two for Failure to Pay

Police departments across the nation are working to catch negligent child support offenders. Two men were taken into custody last week in Salem County for being grossly behind on their payments. As with many other counties, these men could face jail time for what is being considered a felony offense. One of the suspects, 32-year-old M.M., was taken into custody on two warrants for owing a total of $8197. 45. He was released from custody shortly after making a payment of $200. This money will go towards the debt that he owes to the mother of his child.

A second man was also arrested on similar charges. K.N., 25, owes $4,132 in back child support payments. He was able to make a payment of $200 to secure his release from jail.
