Restraining Order Taken Out Against Criminal

Sometimes those people that we trust the most commit some of the most serious crimes. One man has a restraining order against him for embezzling tens of thousands of dollars.

While this crime is not so shocking in itself, the fact that the man was a pastor makes it more difficult to hear. Church officials did not realize that the pastor had been stealing money from the church between the years 2008 and 2011. When someone finally realized that something was amiss, a serious investigation into the church's finances was launched.

Based on the results of this investigation, church officials asked the pastor to stay away from the church. When he refused, they took out a restraining order against him. Last week he went before the court to ask to have the restraining order revoked. A judge denied the request and confirmed that the order would remain in place.

If you find that you are in need of a restraining order against someone due to a family law issue, know that you may expedite the process by working with a family law attorney.
