Man Sues for Paternity Fraud

One man in Connecticut had had sneaking suspicions for years that his daughter was not his own. As she grew older and did not look like her older sister, the man really started to wonder about his little girl. He finally got up the nerve to conduct a DNA test and found that his suspicions had been correct. E.F. is now suing the actual biological father in what is being called a rare paternity case. It turns out that the father was actually the business partner of his ex-wife. The two had started a business together in 1993 and at some point carried out an affair.

The case went all the way up to the Connecticut Supreme Court who ruled on behalf of the father. He has reportedly been granted an award of $190,000 that will be owed to him by the biological father. This is the amount that E.F. is supposed to have spent raising his daughter for 19 years under the assumption that she was his own.
