Police Arrest Father Wanted for Failure to Pay

After years of searching for a man wanted for negligent child support payments, law enforcement officials in Nevada were successful in detaining him.

The 47-year-old father has been wanted by officials in Massachusetts for several years and was even placed on the state's most wanted list of ten individuals. He is scheduled to appear in court later this week to answer for why he failed to make 335 child support payments, which amount to $32,000. In addition to the charge of failing to make payments, he faces additional charges of abandonment of a child without support.

If he is found guilty of all the charges against him, the negligent father could face up to 2.5 years in a house of correction or 5 years in a state prison.
