Actor Must Continue to Make Child Support Payments

Even though his child lives with him and his wife remarried, a popular actor has been ordered to continue his monthly $8,000 child support payments.

The star of a TV show went before a judge in California last week to hear the appeals court ruling on his case. They decided that he needs to continue making his payments to his ex-wife for their son. Even though the ex-wife remarried and had a child with her second husband - from who she has since divorced - the court ruled that the actor needs to make reduced payments. Since she is unable to support their child on her own, the actor has been ordered to pay $8,000 monthly, $2,000 less than his initial child support order.

The struggling actress argued that since the monthly payments constitute less than 5% of his income, he should continue making contributions.  After hearing both sides, the court sided with her.
