Wisconsin Concerned about Domestic Violence Deaths

Even though there were less domestic violence-related deaths in Wisconsin last year, state officials are still concerned about the existing and future victims that could be affected.

A report released by the state shows that 58 people died from domestic violence murders last year, which was down from 67 in 2009. Although this is good news in itself, the mayor of Milwaukee hopes to bring those figures down even further over the next few years. In his county, there were 21 murders alone, the most out of any county in Wisconsin.

The figures for 2009 represented the highest they had been in ten years.

If someone you love has recently become a victim of domestic violence, help him/her get the legal help necessary to avoid further abuse by setting up a time to speak with a family law attorney in your state as soon as possible who can help you prevent further abuse.
