Divorce May Have Led to Murder of Wife and Sons

The death of a disturbed man came as a relief to some last week in Ohio.

In 1982, the man shot his three sleeping sons after his wife filed for a divorce. After a jury found him guilty of the crime, he was sentenced to the death penalty. The state of Ohio lifted a six-month ban on capital punishment to execute his death.

The man was brought to the death chamber in a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He was given a lethal injection; he died with both hands showing obscene gestures. The witnesses were shocked at the gestures and prison officials commented that prisoners on their death bed are often known to confess or apologize for their crimes. Never before have they seen someone do something as horrid as they lay dying. Clearly, the prisoner carried his anger with him until the very end.

Are you contemplating divorce? If so, now is the right time to get a family law attorney involved.
