Jermaine Jackson Claims Impoverishment

In an attempt to get out of child support payments, Jermaine Jackson is pleading near-impoverishment due to lack of work.

The less-famous Jackson currently owes his ex-wife $80,000 in back child support payments, and the court system is not giving him anymore leeway. According to Music News, Jackson must submit a cashiers check for $5,000, followed by another for $15,000 a few days later. Two more payments of $20,000 and $40,000 have also been requested for April 13 and May 13, but it is not certain whether Jackson will be able to submit them.

Since the chances of Jackson making these payments are slim to none, his only other option is to spend time in jail. Jackson has already been punished by having his driver's license revoked until the first payment is made. Alejandra, Jackson's ex-wife, has been living at the family compound for nearly 18 years, but it currently in a legal battle with the remaining family members who want to have her thrown out.
