Phoenix to Introduce Child Support Payment Changes

In Phoenix, it has been reported that changes will be made to the way parents in the state of Arizona pay child support.  Officials say that they changes are in order to make the child support payment system more fair.

Details released indicated that the plan is called Child Outcome Based Support.  Essentially, the plan calls for the re-calculation of child support payments with the intention of leveling the playing field between both parents if the child is in a shared custody situation.

The overall goal is to make sure the child's living arrangements remain the same, regardless of which parent he or she is with at the time.  Most say that the new plan is fair and that the majority of parents will not notice much of a difference as far as their child support payments are concerned.
