Woman Claims She Lied About Facebook Affair during Divorce

In Italy, even an imaginary extramarital affair can be grounds for annulling a marriage. A woman who "theorized" about having an affair, but never actually committed adultery, had her marriage annulled by the Cassation Court, the top appeals court in the country. Her imagined affair has not just cost the woman her marriage but also disqualified her from receiving any financial support from her husband.

However, she is fighting to having the annulment repealed in order to file for a proper divorce complete with alimony payments. She continues to beseech the court by insisting that she never actually acted on her thoughts, but rather just imagined the sexual infidelity to her marriage.

Are you having problems with your marriage? Do you suspect your spouse of being unfaithful to you? If so, you need to connect with a family law attorney immediately to learn more about your legal rights and how to protect them.
