Man Sentenced with 180 Days in Jail for Failure to Pay Child Support

Roger Lon Cox, 44, has finally been apprehended and was sentenced to 180 days in county jail by Yolo Superior Court Judge Arvid Johnson. The offender had a felony violation of probation for failing to pay child support.

His violation of probation case was originally heard by Yolo County Superior Court Judge Kathleen White in May; however, sentencing was put off until November 1 so that Cox could make payments on his monthly child support and child support arrears.

When Cox failed to appear for his second hearing and make any payments, a no bail bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Realizing the situation against him, Cox surrendered himself to local authorities on November 4. Cox was remanded to start his six month sentence on November 22. The judge ordered him again to make his monthly payments of $290 upon his release.
