Verizon Donates $10,000 to Domestic Violence Program in Nebraska

The Associated Press is reporting that in Lincoln, Nebraska, domestic violence prevention groups throughout the state will have a chance to learn ways to utilize technology in order to help keep domestic abuse survivors safe.

Recently, the Verizon Foundation gave $10,000 to the Nebraska Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Coalition.  The company's sponsorship paid for the new program.

Executive director of the coalition, Lynne Lange, said that teaching people new ways to use technology would allow them to help more domestic violence victims and also abuse survivors throughout the state.

Have you been a victim of domestic violence?  Are you currently being abused by your spouse or partner?  If so, it is important that you take the time to talk with a family law attorney who can help you stop the vicious cycle of abuse.  By working with a lawyer, you can obtain orders of protection and ensure that your rights remain protected.
