The “Hulk” Re-Marries in Beachfront Ceremony

By Katz & Phillips  Dec. 20, 2010 10:13a

Hulk Hogan, 57, married his girlfriend, Jennifer McDaniel, 35, in a small, intimate beachfront ceremony, in the backyard of his home in Clearwater, Florida. It appears both Hogan, and his ex-wife Linda Bollea has moved on since their highly publicized split. However, the Hulk beat Linda to the altar; she is presently engaged to a 21-year-old who happens to be a former schoolmate of her own 20-year old son. Bollea most likely won't re-marry anytime soon, considering the fact that she would have to give up the $40,000 a month Hogan pays her in alimony.

In the state of Florida, alimony can be permanent or rehabilitative. When the court determines the proper award for alimony, it may consider adultery and many other circumstances in their award. The following guidelines are established by Florida laws:

  • The standard of living that was established during the marriage.
  • The duration of the marriage itself.
  • The age of both spouses.
  • The physical and emotional wellbeing of each party.
  • The financial resources available to each party.
  • Both the marital assets and liabilities distributed to both parties.
  • If applicable, the amount of time necessary for either party to acquire sufficient education or training which would enable them to find employment.
  • The contribution by each spouse to the marriage, such as, homemaking, child care, education, and the career building of the other party.
  • All available sources of income to each party.

What is Rehabilitative Alimony?

Rehabilitative alimony is where one financially able spouse pays alimony to a former spouse who is financially needy. The rehabilitative alimony is used to assist the needy spouse in obtaining education, new skills and if needed, rehabilitation so they can get on their own feet.
