Politican Accused of Domestic Abuse

A man known for his political aspirations will appear in court next week. Christy Mihos has been accused of domestic violence against his wife. The two-time gubernatorial candidate has been accused of assaulting his wife last year in Florida. The two were vacationing there when he reportedly assaulted her, an incident that was reported to police in Stuart, Florida. Officers in the small Florida town are working with police in Massachusetts regarding a separate incident that took place two weeks ago. Since beginning their investigation, Yarmouth police have taken a handgun from Mihos and suspended his weapons license.

Mihos is due in court early next month to provide his side of the story. Officers from both cities are gathering evidence to convince a judge to bring criminal judges against the businessman.
