Man Sues Ex Over Child Custody Matter

A dispute one man has with his ex-girlfriend has led him to file a lawsuit against her. The New Mexico man claims that she conspired with coworkers to place a fake child custody phone call that violated his rights. The victim, M.G., claims that the ex-girlfriend used her position as a police dispatcher to get him in trouble. She reportedly logged into the National Crime Information Centers database to search his records. Along with two of her coworkers, they discovered that he had a traffic warrant out for his arrest. She then used this information to place a fake police phone call and have him arrested.

In his lawsuit, the victim contends that he was violated under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act. He was also a victim of false arrest, unreasonable search and seizure, as well as battery and assault during the arrest. He has asked for an unspecified amount of money for attorney's fees, as well as punitive and compensatory damages. Are you dealing with a child custody issue that is causing you stress? If so, work with a family lawyer who can help you address issues of concern as soon as possible.
