Several Warrants Issued for Past Due Child Support

Several warrants were issued this week by the Cook County Sheriff's Department. All of the men and women named in the warrants are wanted on charges of failure to make child support payments. Most of the men owe thousands of dollars in back payments, some of which have not been made for years. One of the men, 52-year-old K.P., currently owes nearly $40,000. Police are searching for K.P. who was last seen living in Chicago Heights. While this figure is high, it is still lower than what another man with a recent warrant owes. R.I., 49, owes nearly $69,000. Records show his last residence as being in New Lenox.

Another New Lenox man was given his own arrest warrant this month for owing $20,000. The men were joined by one woman, 40-year-old K.J. She lives in Chicago Heights and has been charged with child support delinquency. The latest records show that she owes $11,322. Are you owed child support? If so, speak with a family lawyer about your options.
