The South Carolina Supreme Court has reportedly ruled that in the case of couples seeking a divorce, they must be living apart in order for one spouse to seek monetary support. Now, it is a legal requirement for spouses to be living apart in order for support to be involved. This played out in a case involving a woman divorcing her husband of 30 years. She has been seeking support, however, they live under the same roof although they sleep in separate rooms.
