Man Running for Council in Trouble for Failure to Pay

A man running for town council is still bitter over his loss. He is now demanding answers for what he believes was an unnecessary use of legal authority.

Shortly before Election Day, the man was stopped at a checkpoint. When the officer ran his information, he discovered that the man had an arrest warrant for failure to pay child support. Five months earlier, the man had failed to show at a court hearing, prompting the judge to sign the arrest warrant. The officer then arrested the man and brought him to the local jail.

When news of his arrest went public, the front-runner dropped significantly in the polls. He finished dead last in the five-candidate race. He now plans on speaking with state official's to discover whether his arrest affected his chances at winning the election.
