Operation Love Leads to Child Support Arrests

Valentine's Day was not so sweet for the negligent parents arrested as part of "Operation Love."

Officers in DuPage County had arrest warrants for 42 parents that collectively owed $2 million in back child support. They were able to arrest six parents in their homes on Monday, including Joseph Ratley who owes $101,420 in back payments. Only one of those arrested were able to post bond on the same day; that bond money will go towards the owed child support payments.

Attorney Robert Berlin of the DuPage County office says that he is serious about cracking down on parents who refuse to make their child support payments. They will continue to hunt down individuals like Nicola Vavalle, who owes $219,034, and Daniel Marr who owes $126,473.

When you have been ordered to receive child support payments but have been unable to collect them, you need a family law attorney who can help you.
