Man Arrested for Interferring with Child Custody

A young man discovered with two teenage girls in his bedroom now faces possible jail time. Eric J. Scott, 23, was found with two teens at his home after one of their mother's called the Sheriff's Office to say that her daughter was missing.

The young girl hadn't attended school that day nor had she returned home at the normal time, prompting her mother to contact the authorities. Deputies received information that the girls might be at Scott's house, a tip that proved to be true. When they arrived they found the two girls, age 13 and 14, hiding in a closet. They also discovered that Scott had been serving them beer. The girls involved are 13 and 14 years old.

Deputies arrested Scott and charged him with two counts of interference with child custody. He is currently being held at the Marion County Jail.
