Bonuses to be Cut for People Who Owe Child Support at One Company

In one county, workers of an automotive maker received their bonus checks this month. Those workers that are behind on child support payments were supposed to have half of their bonus checks docked. However, just one-third was docked and now the court is out to get the rest of what is owed.

According to news sources, those workers that received their checks but still owe money should not spend their checks. There are county employees that are going around door-to-door to round up the rest of the funds. The mistake happened due to a new partnership forged between the automotive maker and a union. So far the human resources department is being blamed for the mishap but it is uncertain just what went wrong with the payments.

In total, 168 workers from that county owe $2.1 million in back child support payments. One of the workers owes a whopping $182,000 while another owes $77,000 for 11 children.
