Police in Kentucky Arrest 18 for Past Due Child Support

This week, it has been reported that several arrests were made by Williamsburg police, Corbin Police, Kentucky State Police and the Knox County Sheriff's Office.  The arrests were made as part of a round up that was targeting people who owe past due child support payments.

The departments were working together for the roundup which started last Monday night.

As of Tuesday morning, officers report that 18 of the 60 people that were on their list had been placed under arrest.

According to the police officers, the roundup is targeting people who are thousands of dollars behind on their child support payments.  The partnership was organized by the Whitley County Attorney's Office and the Williamsburg Police Department.
