Man Gets Two Years for Owing $533,000 in Child Support

In Michigan, it has been reported that a man accused of fathering 23 children with 14 separate women has been ordered to spend at least two years in prison for failing to pay large amounts of child support.

At this time, 44-year-old Howard Veal is said to owe more than $533,000 in child support payments said the state's attorney general's office.  In July, Veal pled guilty to owing more than $60,000 to a woman located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Additionally, there are 14 child-support related cases pending against Veal in the counties of Kent and Muskegon.

If you are owed great amounts of child support and are having problems collecting payments, it is important that you get help from a family law attorney as soon as possible.  By working with a family lawyer, you stand a better chance of obtaining the past due child support that you are owed by law.
