Man Arrested for Domestic Violence after Trying to Run Victim Over with Car

In Walnut Creek, California, it has been reported that a man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. Police say that the man tried to run over a woman near Broadway Plaza and then hid from police for over two weeks.

On August 22nd, officers were called at 10:00 PM to the scene of the incident and they found a woman with a broken nose as well as other injuries.

She had to be taken to the hospital for treatment and then later told police that she was traveling from San Ramon to Oakland with a man she was dating when he pushed her out of the car. He then tried to hit her with the vehicle, but she managed to get out of the way.

After the incident was reported, police issued an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Damon Thomas Sykes, but were not able to find him until they received an anonymous tip that he was hiding in Oakland.

After a short chase, Sykes was placed under arrest and booked into jail on $213,000 bail.

If you have been the victim of domestic violence, now's the time to get help from a family law attorney.
