George Lopez and Wife Confirm Termination of Their Marriage

In Los Angeles, a publicist has confirmed that comedian George Lopez and his wife are officially ending their 17 year long marriage.

On Monday, a brief statement was issued that said Lopez and his wife, Ann, had reached a mutual decision to end their marriage amicably.

The publicist did not offer any further details other than to say the pair planned to remain business partners in a charitable foundation.  Additionally, court records did not indicate whether or not the couple had filed a petition for divorce or legal separation.

The 49-year-old comedian and his wife made headlines when she agreed to donate her kidney to her husband in 2005. They also have a teenage daughter.
