Number of Juvenile Cases Filed Decreasing in Grand Rapids

The number of juvenile cases filling the dockets is decreasing, according to a new study in Grand Rapids, Michigan. News Channel 3 reported that the police have confirmed that less crimes are being committed by juveniles, a fact that is reflected by the study's numbers.

Children in the age group of 8 to 16 years old are committing 19% less crimes than they have been over the past four years. The full report will be released at a press conference that the Grand Rapids Police Department  is holding on Thursday morning at 10:00. A copy of it will also be available online for the public to view.

If your child is involved in a juvenile case, don't rely on a court-appointed lawyer to represent his or her best interests. It can make all the difference between time spent at a juvenile detention center and spending their early childhood years at home with you.
