Mel Gibson Ordered to Pay $60,000 in Back Child Support

Despite his constant griping and fight against the mother of his child, Mel Gibson reportedly lost part of his battle when a judge ordered him to pay $60,000 in back child support. In addition, he must let Oksana Grigorieva, live rent free in his Sherman Oaks, California estate with their year-old daughter.

The two were forced to meet face-to-face in a closed session at a Los Angeles courthouse yesterday when a judge delivered the bad news to Gibson. The actor had been holding back on his $20,000 per month child support payments until $6,000 was deducted for rent. However, authorities are still looking into the claims that Grigorieva had attempted to blackmail the actor earlier this year.

It has been a long and not-so-private battle for the pair who just welcomed their daughter, Lucia, into this world a year ago.
