Local CSEA Looking to Arrest Child Support Offenders

When it comes to locating parents who have been negligent in paying child support, the Butler County Child Support Enforcement Agency is taking new measures. It has created a wanted poster that bears the faces of eleven parents who are currently wanted by the police. It can be seen at their website (butlercountyscea.org).

The CSEA is using the poster as a way to increase public awareness not just to locate these offenders, but to warn others that they cannot escape making their court-appointed child support payments.

Since its first wanted poster in 1995, the agency has located 178 parents and collected more than $1.75 million in back payments since then. The posters have served as an effective tool in engaging the public and helping the police locate offenders.

The current 11 offenders had until August 31 to make their payments but failed to do so. They now have warrants issued for their arrest, and their pictures will be sent to 300 agencies as well as being featured on pizza boxes locally.
