Divorce between Nas and Kelis Finalized

On May 25th, it was reported that the divorce proceedings between rapper Nas and singer Kelis were finalized. The final papers were filed on May 21st in a Los Angeles Superior Court. However, some arrangements still need to be resolved.
One of the larger issues that needs to be resolved is the settlement requirement which demands that Nas pay Kelis $10,000 per month for child support and spousal support. Nas insists that the amount is far too much and has challenged it since day one.
The couple was married five years ago and a few years back, the couple tried to sell a reality show which would chronicle their life together. Last year, Kelis decided to file for divorce.
