In Vermont, the Supreme Court is dealing with whether or not same-sex partners should have the same custody and visitation rights as heterosexual couples. Two woman are dealing with the custody matter, as one lawyer is stating that the couple was joined in a Vermont civil union. However, the other woman wants the Vermont court to reverse its 2006 order that gave equal visitation rights.
