Utah Approves Bill to Protect Child Visitation

A new bill, HB197, has been approved in the Utah House which will criminalize intentional disruptions of scheduled noncustodial parent time with the kids. Law enforcement will now have to respect what the court has ordered as far as parent time. In many cases, the sole financial burden will fall on one parent, but that same parent may go years without seeing the child if the custodial parent is difficult.
