Sandra Bullock Says Adoption Was Destined

In an exclusive interview with the "Today" show, actress Sandra Bullock said she is convinced she was destined to adopt a baby boy after her divorce from Jesse James.

She told reporters that she began the adoption process four years ago and was able to welcome her son, baby Louis, into her family in January.

In March, she split from her husband after learning of his infidelity in the media.  She went public with news of her adoption a month after her relationship ended.  She is adamant that her path to motherhood has worked out in the way it was always intended. 

She said during her interview, "It was a long process. I did not circumvent. I wanted to do everything exactly the same way everyone else did. He (Louis) was always mine, you know. It wasn't like I felt like someone was going to take him away. But it was nice to have someone say, 'I think you're a fit parent.'"
