Poll Reports that Florida is "OK" with Gay Adoption

In Tallahassee, Florida, a poll was recently conducted by Quinnipiac University.  The University asked poll participants to identify whether they were OK with gay and lesbian adoption.  The poll results revealed that the majority of Florida residents approve of gay and lesbian families adopting children.

Additionally, the poll discovered that 55% of participants are in favor of overturning a recent state law that prohibits homosexuals from adopting children and that only 39% of participants are in favor of keeping the ban in place.

The University disclosed that Democrats and independent voters comprised the majority that were in favor of overturning the law, whereas Republicans and Christians tended to support the law.

Poll results also found that 27% of participants were in favor of gay marriage, 35% of participants were in favor of civil unions and that 31% of participants were against any legal recognition of gay marriages.

Quinnipiac University released their poll findings last week Thursday and representatives claim the margin of error is only +/- 2.7%.
